Wendy O'Brien: Submerged

Opening Reception: Sunday, October 19, 1pm – 3pm

Exhibition: October 11, 2014 - January 04, 2015

This solo exhibition by fibre artist Wendy O’Brien presents all new felt works that evoke the life and diversity of an underwater sea-bed, inspiring both a contemplation and a celebration of some of our richest and most important resources – the oceans. Submerged includes large-scale and smaller composite felt works that offer diverse texture formulations and powerful colour conflagrations. The organic oceanic shapes offer a contemplative narrative of sea life and fragile habitat. O’Brien is a graduate of Fashion Design and Technique from Sheridan College and worked as a costume and set designer before practicing fibre art full time.
